Where is this year's motorcycle show? The Alerus Center ballroom in Grand
Forks, ND.
Who can enter? ALL
makes and models of motorcycles are welcome to enter. Even kids are encouraged to enter their mini-bikes
in our Junior class!
When can I set up at the Alerus Center? Motorcycles
can set up from 5 pm to 10 pm the night before the motorcycle show. We'll have volunteers to guide
you in and wash your tires when you arrive. The ballroom closes at 10 pm sharp. No late arrivals, and no Saturday morning arrivals are permitted.
Load in is through the gated area on the west side of the Alerus, which is the backside of the building facing I-29.
What happens to my bike spot if I'm a no-show? Spots left vacant will be sold. Registration fees for no-shows are
non-refundable. We had a waiting list for last year's motorcycle show, and ride-in entries are accepted depending
on space. Those on the waiting list will be contacted in order of their show inquiry if spots are available. If
you have pre-registered, please provide a current home or cell phone number on your registration form.
If you are running late, an RRVM member will do their best to contact you on show set-up night to confirm whether you are
coming to the show. If we are unable to reach you, or
we do not hear back from you, we will assume you are a no-show and sell your space.
Can I put more than one motorcycle in a 8x10 space?
No. Only one motorcycle is allowed in a 8x10 space for judging purposes and for people's choice
balloting. If your motorcycle or display is too large to fit into one 8x10 space, you will need to purchase
an additional space(s) to accommodate it. Each space is numbered so judges and motorcycle classifiers can keep track
of every entry. The public also uses this numbering system to cast ballots for their favorite motorcycle.
We will do our best to assign your spot next to a friend's if you are entering as a group.
**IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE: How
much gas can be in my tank? Fire regulations require motorcycle gas tanks
to be no more than 1/4 full. Fuel shut-off valves must be in the "off" position during the show.
What if I have dirty tires or just discovered a small leak?
Our show volunteers will wash off your tires during load-in, and drip mats will be placed beneath each
bike on the ballroom floor. We don't want to get charged for staining the carpet either, especially
since it's new!
What if I want to be a vendor at the show?
How much does that cost? Vendor space is $100 per 8 foot by 10 foot space.
See information below for additional costs for electricity and internet service.
Will there be electricity? Yes, electrical outlets will be available for an
additional fee for motorcycle displays and vendor booths. Please indicate on the registration form
whether you'll need electricity so arrangements can be made with the Alerus Center.
Will I have Internet or phone line access at my vendor booth? You will have to
contact the Alerus Center directly at 701-792-1200 to get the rates per day for a phone line and/or internet connection, and
to make arrangements for these connections at your own expense.
Do you have tables and chairs for vendors or should I bring my own?
The RRVM doesn't provide tables and chairs. Contact the Alerus Center directly at 701-792-1200 for a price
listing to rent their tables and chairs if you need them. You can also download the Alerus Center's Convention Center Guide for more information. Just like Internet service, this is an additional cost to you, so if you have
your own tables and chairs, bring them!
